The Miller Lite Illinois Blues Festival supports The Illinois Blues
Coalition Fund.

The objective of the Coalition is to promote the art form of blues-related music by performance, by interpretation, by preserva- tion and by enhancement of appreciation through knowledge and education. The Illinois Blues coalition will Support Blues Societies, Blues Music Entertainers and Blues Music Education by offering grants and scholarships to help Blues Societies, Blues Music Entertainers and
Blues Music Educators to help fund projects which preserve and
promote the history and future of blues music.

Last year we formed a brand new funding and grant organization called the Illinois Blues Coalition which is a not-for-profit organization" This organization does not compete with Blues Societies as it does NOT put
on events of any kind. What it does is provide grant money to Blues
Societies and others who may request funding.

The objective of the Coalition is to promote the art form of blues-related music and will support Blues Societies, Blues Music Entertainers and Blues Music Education by offering grants and scholarships to help fund pro- jects which preserve and promote the history and future of blues music.
